THAT SAID, WE STILL NEED HELP FINDING OUR NEW HOME IN WESTMONT
CALLING ALL WESTMONT COMMERCIAL PROPERTY LANDLORDS. HELP US FIND OUR NEW HOME.
As of 10/08/26 We have found a small location (700sq ft) on North Cass Ave Westmont (seeking a "Special use Permit" approval Oct 14th at 6pm open to the public with the Planning and zoning Commission at City Hall westmont) to house our Artist's Studios, Art Gallery, low profile Classes like sewing, crochet, knitting, felt making, soap making, beading arts but are still in limbo for our yarn shop, floor looms, weaving classes, textile painting, glass bead making and metal smith classes. We want to stay in Westmont to utilize the relocation grant in a Space of 1400+/- sq feet already sprinkled and current with ADA Restroom Code in the B1 or B2 Zone with a nov 15 move in date. Who do you know who? If a location is not found byend of Nov we will be forced to move everything into storage until something opens up. we would love to be allowed to holdover at 26 E Quincy St with Westmont but have been told not possible even though tenants at 1 south cass are given through end of january 2027. please call Tammy @ (630)963-9573 if you have any suggestions.
MEANWHILE, OUR ROBUST fall schedule of kids and adults sewing, crochet, weaving, knitting, jewelry making with Venus and broader collection of creative art classes are being added every day. Tammy's Fine Art Show scheduled November 6 & 7 in Elmhurst is unchanged.
Our Creativity Comtinuum Art Exhibit will be our last show in our legacy location of 26 E Quincy St. with an open to the public Oct 18 through Nov 15
Friends, Family, team building and one on one creative art classes and workshops for Oct and Nov scheduling are very much available as is holiday gift making opportunities. call Tammy at (630)963-9573.
Regular walk in hours, Art supply and Yarn Shop shopping together with Gallery Exhibits will all be maintined Wednesday through Saturday 11am to 6pm at our historic foundation home of 26 E Quincy St Westmont, IL!
Please, keep visiting us Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM no appointment needed....until the proud day we're able to share the address(es) of our new home(s).

Advocate for Small Businesses & the Arts in Westmont

For 33 years, TLD Design Center & Gallery has had a home in downtown Westmont. When notified that redevelopment is forcing our displacement, we asked our community to stand with us—and your voices made an undeniable impact!
At the August 6th Village Board meeting, trustees acknowledged that community input directly shaped the drafting of the new Commercial TIF Relocation Grant program. Trustee Plowman even remarked, “I’m a little shocked how many cheerleaders are supporting you. It’s a great business to have in Westmont. I think culturally and artistically that’s what we’re trying to push here...” and with that, the Village Board voted "YES" to the Grant Program.
At the Sept 3rd Board meeting, a unanimous vote approved TLD DESIGN CENTER & GALLERY to receive the first TIFF Relocation Grant
While this progress is a major milestone, we are struggling to find a new Westmont location With our move out deadline set for the end of November 2026, Financial aid was one piece of the puzzle—we need the Village to work side-by-side with displaced businesses to help identify viable new locations and solutions to the complex matrix of hurdles and deadlines imposed between the city of westmont and would be landlords. As of 10/08/26 We had a spectacular failure with a space we thought could be awesome. we are looking for a Westmont Space of 1400+/- sq feet already sprinkled and current with ADA Restroom Code in the B1 or B2 Zone with a nov 15 move in date.
