over 20 years teaching experience combined with 25+ years as a working artist
and holds a MFA degree in theatre design from Ohio State University. She has taught college level multimedia and design at the
Art Institute of Pittsburgh and the Illinois Institute of Art. She has taught beadwork and
fine arts at the Pittsburgh Center and regularly returns to teach for us. She

Glass Axis in Columbus, Ohio. She travels the Midwest (and beyond) to
exhibit her work and to teach beadwork and flameworking (lampworking) skills.
Class is full!!!
Beginner/ Intermediate Lvl
This class is mainly a recipe class for some of Hannah's favorite color reactions using our regularly stocked glass, some of the premium priced cane, and some of that fantastic silver glass recently presented to the lampwork market. We will be focusing on just the reactions during class time... not shapes, so as long as you've taken a beginning lampwork skills class...you are set. We'll move through the reactions quickly, some just using a show-and-tell method, others actually giving you time to work. There is way more than we have time for in a single class, so come prepared for loads of information! Students will also leave class with an actual recipe box complete with cards detailing everything that's covered during the class (and more). No worries about note taking or forgetting the order of things. Class fee also covers the sample pack of glass, cane and frit we'll be working with throughout the day. ( kit value $45)
Students should bring all tools, their
hothead and a two cans of gas. There will be a lunch break.
Class meets: Tuesday from 10am to
5pm
Class Date: July 29, 2008
Cost: $135
A beginning peyote stitch classes that involves loads of flat peyote that changes color across the piece, and some whomping on a piece of 14g sterling silver with a hammer.
Class Meets: Tuesday, July 29th from 6pm to 9:30pm
Level 1: Students don't need to know peyote stitch before they come to this class, but should have done a little seed bead work beforehand.
Class Fee: $55 + Kit: $25
Please accept my apology for the extra inconvenience ~ Tammy

Over Four Thousand Years Ago, an Egyptian goldsmith produced a lovely and unusual necklace made entirely of wire. Ornaments based on the same design have been found in the tombs of the rulers of such unrelated regions of the world as Peru and Persia. Now it’s your turn to make this elegant ancient design! Add bead embellishments in your own version of the bracelet. Students should have some basic wire twisting experience.
New Day/Date!!!
Class meets: Thursday from 10am to
1:30pm
Class Date: July 31st
Cost: $60 +
E-mail Tammy if you are interested and available.
