Ashley & Leslie model their finished scarves

On Monday: campers planned their weaving project, measured the warp and dyed the yarn.

Here they are squeezing out the pre-soaked yarn and they start applying the liquid dye

Here's Ashley in the final stage of Warp dyeing

On Tuesday: The Yarn is rinsed out and put out to dry.  Meanwhile, the girls go on to make a felt purse.

The weather is nice....so they do the wet stomping part outside

(R) Finished with her stomping, Christy is Peeling off the muslin to reveal her purse.

On Wednesday: campers start threading the loom and winding the warp yarns onto a rigid heddle loom.   They start weaving a little, too.

Here they are threading

Now they start winding on.

On Thursday:  Most of the time is spent weaving.  When finished the scarves come off the looms and  the fringe is tied.
