Weave a Scarf

Instructor: Tammy L Deck

Two sessions 2 1/2 hours each (give or take a little). Looms will be set up ready for each participant to select coordinating weft yarn and weave their scarf. All materials will be supplied - students will use our studio looms. Ages 11 and up.

Polymer Clay Decorated Writing Pens

Kids age 7 and up (grown-ups, too!) are invited to join us for a fun learning opportunity in polymer clay art while they work on a project they'll be proud to give to someone special. Kids will learn how to make simple canes and shapes to apply to a writing pen with a replaceable ink cartridge. This project teaches about working in stages to build artistic pieces. This class is a great place to start anybody who wants to work with modeling clay that can be hardened in a household oven.

Kids age 7 and up (grown-ups, too!) are invited to join us for a fun learning opportunity in the art of felt making while working on a project they'll be proud to give to someone special. Kids will learn how to make make felt over a form... cut it free and finish it by hand sewing beads and attaching a cord. Felt making is a magical, natural method of turning wool fibers into a fabrics... all we use is soap, water and a bit of rubbing.

Santa's Gift making Workshop:
Specialty Candle Making Workshop

Instructor: Tammy Deck 

Kids age 8 and up (grown-ups, too!) are invited to join us for a fun class introducing them to the candle making process. Each person will make two specialty candles they'll be proud to give to someone special. Attendees will learn how to make a disposable candle mold by recycling a square cardboard quart container (orange juice, creamer, egg substitute, or egg-nog) choose color and scent and pour their own melted paraffin wax. One candle will be cool enough to un-mold... the second may be un-molded at home. Fanciful candles are the result.

All materials and tools supplied (if possible, please bring 2 square cardboard quart sized containers to the workshop).

Santa's Gift Making Workshop:
KIDS CLASSES: BEAD WEAVING ON A BEAD LOOM 

Kids will learn how to set up and use a bead loom to design and make items such as: friendship bracelets, chokers, head or hat bands. Beading materials for a bracelet supplied. Kids get to keep the bead loom and extra beads for a project at home. Ages 10 and up.

Holiday Break

HOLIDAY BREAK WEAVING CAMP
LEARN HOW TO WEAVE ON A "REAL"  LOOM

Make a neck scarf on one of our rigid heddle looms. Campers will learn to plan and measure cotton & rayon chenille yarns for their project, thread the rigid heddle, wind the yarn on and weave their scarf. Meets Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday between Christmas and New Years.

Campers should bring a lunch each day (micro and fridge available). All supplies included.

Ages 9 and up.
